Apr 22, 2009		     I did not find it distracting, I find it forced my eye up into the heart of the picture. I think if you had used a really big DOF and had detailed info in the rocks we may have ended up lingering too long there looking at the detail and not spent enough time on the real subject. So for me it was a plus.

Of course that does not make me right or LindyB wrong, it is just the different ways we have looked at and responded to the shot. The good thing is you have two opinions and you are being forced to think about it and come to YOUR conclusion, and after all on this shot YOU are the boss ;-))

Apr 22, 2009		     Thanks for all the comments. I was torn as to whether I should have the foreground in focus or not. LindyB mentioned it was a distraction, but no mention by anyone else. I'm still torn on that idea.

Apr 20, 2009		     I love train pics, and in this one you didi very well, that low angle (well, ground angle in fact :-) adds a lot of interest and strenght to the pic, and B&W works very well here... I bet it will be TT no doubt, and is my #3, good luck!!

Apr 20, 2009		     Great perspective in this shot. I like the way the eye is led all the way along the track, yet I find the out of focus area in the foreground too much of a distraction.
