Post-Processing: Converted from rw2, cropped and sharpened in CS4       Extra Info: Captured at the local zoo. Native to Central and Eastern South Amercia, it is the largest macaw and the largest flying parrot species in the world.

Sep 11, 2009		     A gorgeous bird which I have photographed many times in South America. This one needs to be in full sun and with a less focused background to stand out. As it is, it looks a little less than vibrant to me. I think the eyes are the key and here the eye is a dead black (empty).

Sep 11, 2009		     Nice photo & composition. You can almost hear him squawk. I wish the eye was a little lighter but that's a minor point.
