Thank you guys for the comments. I was having a tough time composing something I liked with this one. I have shots of the sail on just the blue sky background, but that was too boring to my eye. I got the sail-boarder in one but since he was wearing red, it didn't speak blue to me. I appreciate all of your views and comments!

Raf and I have the same idea from opposite ends. I should have added what Raf did, which is to say, the boldness of eliminating the object at the end of the chute is really what makes the impact of this shot and I think that really means this image is due more credit that the votes reflect. The starkness of that kite is all the more striking given the "ordinary" background which gives that subject a context of sense of place which might otherwise be lost is just shot against the sky. I'll look more closely next time. The shot deserved more consideration than I gave it at first.

That sail really stands out against the pale blue sky, it's bright colors and the bright blue water do make me think blue even though there are many other colors in the shot, in my TT.

It was very, very difficult to select my ten votes this time, lots of nice pics in-theme... but finally, yours is in :-)
The background is a bit too "crowded" (trees, houses, beach) and attracts the eye, but blue is still the dominant and more interesting colour, and I like the composition... it works for me, well done!!

Interesting choice to leave the rider out of frame. Good on you for trying something. Love the blues.

I get it but can't help feeling I'm missing something that is just off the frame of the image.
