1/30s, f1.7, ISO 800, ?, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Converted from rw2, cropped and sharpened in CS4.       Extra Info: Obviously this was not a rock concert. Plenty of seniors in the audience and I was one of them.

The pic is a bit soft, probably due to the high ISO denoising, but that is a minor fault, I like the colours :-) the people add well the feeling of being on a pause of a concert, so fits the theme well. Finally not in my TT due to a fantastic challenge and too many strong competitors, but I like the pic anyway, well done :-)

Interesting take on the theme here. I pondered if the human element added or distracted forom the impact. I think a bit of both. I like the people on the right and do not like the chap in the middle. Wish you could get random people to behave just the way you want LOL. In the end the chap in the middle was a minor enough gripe for me to like the shot overall. A wonderful job in a difficult environment and just terrific muted colours of the backdrop. Just a little shoft in the area of the instruments.

I really really like the Title and its fit to the image. The colours here are too lovely to be surreal, and too lovely to be ordinary. The composition and exposures work right down to the slightly blown elements. Anyone familiar with these settings understands that that depiction is often true to life and not a technical flaw. The centered composition works here in keeping a balance and focus which creates an impact that an off centre composition would not achieve. The image does look a little "soft" in focus yet somehow not enough to detract from the overall impact in any significant way. Captures the essence of intermission very well.
