Thank Mepo. Im glad to be here. Really enjoying it and glad of all the feedback. Im a bit too eager and get frustrated when things dont turn out how id like. But i find this site to be really good, not just for the feedback but also cos it gives me a subject to think about taking shots of which is great. Hope your eyes are ok now haha oh and ive ordered a new tripod lol

I think you did a better job than you realise. Eyes are notoriously hard to shoot well, I'm amazed to find you didn't even have a tripod. I missed welcoming you to the site last time. Good to have you as a member and better someone who is not afraid to push the boundaries. Now I have to go put some drops in my eyes after looking at your fingers again LOL.

Interesting experiment. My reaction to having fingers in my eye does distract from my attraction to the final image :-)

Aoc, thanks for the advice. Yes could of improved it. My tripod broke so put too much focus on trying to get a steady shot. But yes i agree more light on the hand would of made it more noticeacle.

Clever concept, though would be more effective with a tighter crop on the eye, more light on the hand to make it stand out. (I didn't really notice it until after i read the captions.)

Thanks Forkhandles, yes, unfortunately my tripod snapped the day of doing this (my own fault for buying cheap haha) time to invest in something better.

Thanks Elyod. Yes let myself down with the focus. Needed more light and shutter speed is wrong. Still trying to get to grips with it. Thanks tho

A clever idea, but the focus is not sharp enough.

Thanks for the comment Steve. I like my ideas up to now but my execution has not been good enough. Still learning tho so can only get better. Thanks.

Lack of sharpness/focus is the most noticeable thing. To accomplish your goal of showing your hand reflected as if holding your pupil you would better lighting as well. You are talking about a very small portion the image area that you want the viewer to notice.

Not clear enough, blur probably due to camera shake with the low shutter. Could also be exaggerated by the subject moving slightly. For a macro shot more detail is needed in both the eye and eyelashes. This is a pity because your composition is good. You should also adjust the white point, a little too yellow.

Thanks for your comment. I think i was too concerned with getting my hand to reflect in the eye that i didnt spend enough time on other areas. The ideas in my head always look great haha still learning tho.

Nee something in focus, especially in a image like this. Needs brightening too.
