Panasonic DMC-ZS35       27th place, 0 points
1/14s, f3.7, ISO 400, 36mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: crop, pencil sketch filter, blur, noise reduction, vignette.       Extra Info: It is not sharp intentionally. I wanted the focus on color, texture, height, and visual weight. I darken the edges, to concentrate in center.

If I could suggest anything it would be your composition and eye are good enough you don't need artistic effects to jazz it up.

I just don't like the pixelated effect.

I love the colors; however, the blurring effect did not work for me. I am not sure whether this is an example of radial balance, which is achieved by darkening the edges, forcing the eye to the center.

Definitely a nice balance of colour, but texture is not apparent due to the pp. The vignette does draw attention to the centre.

I found the artistic approach off-putting at first, but it grew on me as I studied it. The intense red vase, with its right-ward lean, tends to pull the balance in that direction.

Balanced or not the image quality is a problem here very pixelated and unclear. But from what I can make out the image is still heavy at the bottom.

I see what you are trying to achieve. But I find the cubist effect a bit distracting. Perhaps a different type of blur filter.

The digital effect in PP does not work here. Was this intentional, or were you having issues with resizing the image down?
