Windmill and Water Tower       ©2015 aoc46
Panasonic DMC-LX100       15th place, 55 points
1/20s, f16, ISO 200, 35mm, Shutter Priority, Spot, no flash

Post-Processing: Reduce contrast, crop, resize, sharpen.       Extra Info: Large, dark, spinning windmill is counter-balanced by smaller, static, white tower. Tower also balanced by sun-lit branches in upper right. Tiny moon is purely incidental.

Thanks everyone for the comments - always appreciated. Because of the wide angle, the moon really is too small to be a useful element in the picture. Probably should have cloned it out to avoid the distraction.
SteveBee, AnthonyComyn - my initial crop showed more of the white tower, but I felt it was competing too much with the other. Maybe I went too far the other way.
ysal - glad you liked both my entries. A discriminating voter, obviously! ;-)

Seems to have a nice balance between the wind mill water tower, I'm not sure if branches in corner help to give it a asymmetrical balance. It is a nice capture overall.

I like the shot and the balance. Well done.

Somehow, this is a great looking image. In my top picks.

Nice little moon in the middle. The windmill is still too dominant for the white tower to the right. If the branches were at the opposite side it would have worked.

This provides a nice triangular balance. Like the colors a lot too.

I think the two halves balance pretty well, although I think I might like it better with a slightly wider perspective to get a little more of the white tower into the frame. The square platforms on the windmill and white tower is a nice repeating shape but would be more effective with a wider perspective I think.
