1/59s, f2.8, ISO 800, 34mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Raw processed and tweaked (crop,+exposure, -contrast, -highlights, +shadows, -blacks, +clarity-, +vibrance)       Extra Info: I think this image demonstrates a number of kinds of contrasts that are balanced -- colors (reds and whites), shapes (linear buildings, round ornaments, and natural trees), textures (water ripples, tiny lights, flat building ) surfaces (shiny, sparking, and dull), highlights and shadows.

This was in my top 3. I agree with others that it is a bit soft but it gave the shot a glowing feel.

I love the composition here, but the focus is a bit too soft for my taste. Just missed my top 10.

Lots of balances I agree. Since the focus of the photo is the pile of red balls I think the most important balance is between them and the white trees. One without the other would not work well. They support each other nicely. Well done.

I like the exposure and the vibrancy of the image. IMHO I would have tried to balance the large red balls versus the lit trees. I would have cropped out the buildings as much as possible as well as the fountain. In this manner the image would have been less busy and more dramatic.

I don't want to see the tree those ornaments fell from. I know it's hard but I think you need a higher shutter speed to make this pop.

Very nice balance and composition. Good color and exposure. Image perhaps could be a little sharper.

The big red balls and the strong vertical lines combined with the detailed tree does create a well balanced image. I do feel however that the image is a bit busy to catch my attention.

As you description says, all the pieces come together to a well balanced, happy image.
