Interesting effect the sun has on the back-lit mountain. Congrats on your top ten finish!! (Beats taking photos in the library!!!)

Great top 10 finish in a fine field of entries. You've really racked up a string of top ten finishes. Hope to see you here more often!

Great to see the sun rise on a morning like this, you can be pretty sure things will warm up soon! You did well to be up early to catch the ice on the trees before it melts. Super shot!

My number 1 favourite in this challenge. I like the wide view, the sun, the track, the frosty branches, in fact I love everything about it and could look at it for a long, long time.

Great scene and well suited for mono, the sun is a bit of a challenge, so perhaps a second darker image & combine in HDR (subject to frostbite), would have been good, but still well done overall, good luck.

Well done! I am not totally sure about the bright sun. My first thought was: wow. But the more I look at it the more I feel the sun is a little too overpowering. Still deciding. But Well done with a good image, it still impresses!

Conveys the sense of cold very well. Interesting choice to shoot directly into the sun.

A well balanced and very beautiful winter scene. Unfortunately the brightness has flattened the detail somewhat.

Nice landscape photo and interesting composition. Difficult to shoot directly into the sun like that, and if there is any particular weakness because of it, I would say it's given the image a hazy appearance with reduced details that could have given the scene greater depth if they were better seen.

Add a little contrast or dynamic range and this would rocket to a position high in my standings. A beautiful scene wonderfully framed.

A striking image - the only problem is the very bright sun, which seems a bit overpowering. Nonetheless, you have done a great job with the overall exposure and it is tack sharp.
