Disturbing Reflection       ©2016 jomari
Canon PowerShot SX10 IS       16th place, 68 points
1/160s, f8, ISO 200, 304mm, ?, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Cropped, Increased detail, Increased contrast/brightness, Reduced noise, Curves adjustment and saturation adjustment made to selected area top left, Spot healed tiny light spot in duck's reflection.       Extra Info: I was on a bridge and was attracted to the abstract reflections made as the duck disturbed the water.

Obviously I thought it was an extraordinary capture of a commonly shot subject. I agree with ysal. Placed well in a challenging field but I still feel it should be hirer. I put this in the photo fine art category. Obviously not everyone saw it that way.

WOW, this was my #1!!! I thought the lines were mesmerizing and beautiful! I really think it should have finished MUCH higher.

I like it, but the reflections are a bit too intense for me.

Love everything about this shot! But I can't look at it too long without getting dizzy ;-)

Impeccably taken, with incredible detail, and just enough colour in the duck to make it stand out from the patterning on the water

Eye catching reflections for sure; looks like liquid silver to me. Good composition as well. Kudos.

I am up and down with this trying to decide if it is an ordinary shot which looks special or if you've taken a special opportunity to and make it ordinary. Currently my number 4 pick.

Beautifully done. I could look at this for hours. A great photograph.

Love the squiggly lines -- the most interesting part of the photo. I think a vertical crop would be more effective based on the direction of the squiggles. It would be interesting to see this as a high contrast black and white to emphasize the graphic qualities.
