I think the focus is OK, though there could be some motion blur; the bird was hopping around and was caught in mid-swallow. And yes, Anthony, the intent was symbolic - I'm sure the bird was too busy hunting for food to make dietary resolutions.

    What a great choice to support your resolution. Love the colours, but the focus seems to be centred on the body, which leaves the head slightly soft.

    Interesting bird and capture. The focus seems slightly off, maybe on leaves before the bird. The birds position is also a little awkward. I also find animals or insects actions as resolutions a bit strange, as they don't have resolutions it is purely human thing. You might have been going for the symbolic side of it which could work in this case so I won't let it affect my voting too much.
