Neat negative exposure processing, works well in your shot.

    Robert: Many thanks.
babysister: Thanks for being open minded. It seemed to work where the normal photo wouldn't - maybe I can get you to try it sometime.

Interesting as a B&W negative. In my TT but still not sure if I like the effect.

Quite clever. It certainly fits the theme.

Converting to negative is always risky... Interesting, but I am wondering if the none negative it better.

I can't make any "negative" comments about this, you've just shown me a new tool to work with. The effect is great nad it's in my T5.

A striking reversal of the norm, which accentuates the patterns cross the ice.

fc: Thank you. See my reply to aoc
Jade: Thanks for letting me know. I admit I used to feel the same.
aoc: Thanks for giving it a second look. I went back to this site three times because I did not feel I had captured the beautiful shadow patterns. After the last visit I started playing with different filters to see if I could bring out the shadows and used the negative one almost in desperation. Then I adjusted the levels to make the snow almost jet black. I was happy with the result. As well as showing the shadow patterns, all the differences in texture in the snow and the little stalks of grass show up so well - they are almost invisible in the 'normal' photo. I felt that only the negative version would allow me to share the beauty of what was there.

Didn't care for the negative approach at first, but it's started to grow on me. I find the diverging "shadows" especially interesting.

the use of the negative is a master stroke and this brings drama to the picture
