Old Finn, I worked on warming up the midtones, but as you suggest, I should have altered the white balance.

Suits to the topic. Did you try cooler white balance?

Thanks for the constructive criticism - I must admit, I had a lot of difficulty cropping the photo in order to place the figures in the proper position - too much cropping, and I felt that I was losing the interest of the turbulent water - too little, and the people were lost. I never considered the impact of the white areas in the photo, and in retrospect, I probably should have done a much tighter crop.

Despite the colorful figures, I find my eye drawn to the large central white shape. Might prefer less of a tight crop on the bottom, but I like the contrast between the natural forms and linear regularity of the fence.

That water is rough and with the ice it looks cold. As for the rule of thirds, I assume the people are the focal point, in that case they are positioned well. I do find myself wishing I could see more of them. Maybe bigger in the frame, or less obscured by the railing.

You breed the elements to get tis. Well done and interesting photo. Right on theme.

I assume the focal point of the image is the people who provide the only color which immediately pulls the eye. If so, I would crop out the water which is blown out. As the brightest area of the image it also pulls the eye away from the people.

Converted from RAW. Cropped to align along central figure and platform along rule of thirds. Adjusted levels to increase contrast and brightness. Used Topaz to boost mid range colours and tweak detail.
