I wondered if the 'Rule of Thirds' aspect here might be too subtle for this challenge, and perhaps it was. However, I really like the image and couldn't resist including it. Thanks to all who took the time to consider it and to offer your comments (always welcome, pro or con).

I like this a lot. Clean, visually interesting, and well seen. The relationship to the theme is subtle, but it's there. I hope others see it. A favorite.

Well seen but I'm not really getting 'thirds' from it.

Watching this is so soothing. I love how the photographer has captured the essential lines to make it a modern masterpiece!

Upon my first viewing of the pictures your picture really grabbed my eye. Thanks for the description of what it was of. I really like the picture, but to me it just does not say 'thirds', which is why I couldn't place it higher. Cool photo.

Glad I looked at this several times, each time for a while. I really like this shot. Initially I didn't have you in my favs as I was struggling to decide if you were on-challenge (rule of thirds). I concluded you are. I hope people give this time to see this too. If they do, maybe they'll agree: a fine abstract.

Yes the cracks do follow over the third lines, but strangely this is that type of photo that doesn't really need the rule of thirds. This is more patterned type of photo that doesn't really have a focal point to place on the third lines.
