Congrats Michael!!! Keep up the good work.

I did wonder what happened to the rest of the big tree!

    Pleasant composition.

Bleak but effective. I like the austerity of the shot and subject. A favorite.

Not sure the chopped tree does it. being so much bigger and thicker than the smaller one, it does draw all the attention, but it looks awkward and almost not intentional. It is a pity, because I like the rest of the scene

Thanks for the great comments everyone. I composed the original with the whole big tree but it was not effective in the small size that is shown on a normal screen.

Very nicely composed, not sure if I like the excessive grain it does add some atmosphere though.

The crop seems a bit forced, but I still like the end result. Simple and elegant. In my TT.

Very well-composed shot, consistent with the theme. Like the simplicity and the way the snow appears to be in motion. Well done!

Perfectly aligned along the thirds. Love the minimalism and the movement of the snow.

Well composed. The rule of thirds is followed here. In my favorites.

Perfect for the theme. I can't look at it for too long or my nose goes cold!

I love the simple, directness of the composition. Well exposed/processed too. Well done.

Love the simplicity. I guess the tree at the left side is the subject but the bench on the right is competing for attention as well. It would be better if its just the tree in the shot.
