Beautiful idea for the challenge - after all, big is a relative word. Love the composition, the colours, and the reflections of the mirror and water.

Thanks for the lovely comments both :-).

I took quite a few shots at different exposures and angles of illumination before I got one I liked.

Perfect lighting, exposure and focus. The colors are dramatic. Well done and clever for the theme.

Perfect for the challenge - big as compared to . . . Love the composition and your choice of a black background. Super shot.

    Thanks very much Jade O.

That was my idea leanneqld. Without the normal sized marbles it would be difficult to tell how big the 'big' marble is.

So you suggest just 1 small and 1 big marble? It could be difficult to make an interesting composition out of so little.

The little marbles out number the bigger marble and it feels like they have been added to make you believe the middle marble is big. If you are going to add a different sized marble as a comparison I think just one smaller marble would have done the job better.

Great color, composition, detail - nice work! You clearly were going for all the marbles with this one!

(But what are the marbles sitting in - almost looks like a small pool of oil?)

Lovely colours! I like the size comparison approach. The marbles look like they are melting. Top few.

I think adding water really made a big difference in this image. All the colors and wavy lines are beautiful. Very high in my TT.
