Interesting subject. I think it would be better captured on its side.

A beautiful and unusual view. I love how it is isolated against the dark, painterly background. This has been steadily climbing through my favourites order.

Thanks for the kind comments.

The reason it might feel underwater is it was taken through glass, which I couldn't clean and was very reflective.

this was the butterfly walk at the National History Museum in London. The cabinet of chrysalises was fascinating for texture and colour, and for the inherent narrative of change, growth, etc... I aim to return early in the morning, armed with some window spray, and maybe try manual focus... I'll post a couple more in outtakes, which show more wing, but are even more blurred than this one, sadly.

Very cool, almost feels like under water.

Well executed. Love the subtle colors.

Chrysalises are intriguing - interesting colors, but wish we could see more of the butterfly wings.

From photo-quality point of view, this may not be the greatest but the subject matter is so interesting, and the butterfly looks very pretty. I'm interested to know if this was found in the wild or some sort of butterfly garden. In my TT.

Wow, nice capture. Almost looks like it was taken under water . . . but that can't be, right?
