Congratulations on your 1-2 finish. You should do an exhibit of your Chicago shots.

Congratulations - for once I didn't put a curse on an entry by making it my #1 :-) I think this shot does everything it was supposed to do and does it very well. However, if you ever need to smooth out vibrations I recommend a small bean bag. Obviously, it can only be used if there is something to rest it on. I have used a small sandbag and they work better but they are heavy and usually leak - I don't like sand around my camera. A bag of cat litter does the job too and doubles as a traction aid in the winter - spread under your tires if you are stuck.

Quote Robert: I appreciate all of the comments, particularly those that dissect my images and find flaws. That is how one improves. This image was taken on a bridge that is heavily trafficked with trucks and buses. Thus there was constant vibration. I tried to time it when traffic was light but I am sure the vibration was transmitted through the tripod and contributed to a bit of softness.

Okay that makes total sense now I can see that :-)

Always love someone who is willing to improve and change after getting critique

I've seen these buildings and rivers before on here. Frozen last time I think. Colours look a little off and a bit too much water at the bottom. GL.

What a lovely city scape!! Very high in my TT. This would have done well in the previous challenge too.

Really quite nice; perhaps a tad sharper would help.

Just beautiful. Love the depth of colour you have achieved and the wonderful lines of lights leading the eye into the photo. My No 1

Very nice - good colors and exposure; good LLs,with the tower as a payoff. As a panorama format fan, I might have cropped some of the foreground.

Meets the challenge beautifully. I love the painterly colours and reflections in the water. Top shot I think.

Wow. What an impact. Perfect exposure and composition. This is so full of life and living. The texture on the water does a beautiful job offsetting the solid buildings and gives them substance and presence. All the lines - the banks and the lighted floors, etc do actually lead the eye to the structure at the end. No secret who made this - the Urban Cowboy - excellent work as ever.

Another image which had great potential but lacks sharpness and clarity, colours are unappealing also. Nice leading lines though.
