Post-Processing: Conversion to JPG via HDR-from-Single-RAW-File process to draw foreground out of deep shadow, with further adjustments to tone and color. Noise reduction. Vignette. Crop, resize, sharpen.       Extra Info: This medieval clock in the old quarter of Bern, Switzerland, is from the 13th century, which certainly qualifies it as historic, but that's not all....

In 1905, 26-year-old Albert Einstein lived a few hundred meters further down the street. From contemplating how the clock might appear to someone riding a streetcar at the speed of light, he developed new insights into the nature of time and space. These led to his Special Theory of Relativity and a revolution in our understanding of the universe.

Would have been nice to have the clock in focus. Having the cable car in focus gives the impression that it is the historic subject of the frame, despite the Extra Info (which was very creatively written!).

There is a rather interesting finish to the photo - were you on the streetcar when you took the photo? I particularly like the reflections in the side of the streecar facing you, and appreciate the information on the Theory of Relativity.

very good! The stories of Einstein and clocks and trains and lights - and all his thought experiments - have always fascinated me and captured my full attention.

Great history, I agree! The image looks soft but maybe that's the look you were going for?
