Thank you so much for the kind comments :-)

I know what you mean about the highlights. They irritated me too. Caused by the texture of plastic he was made from.

I like the soft and smooth textures here. Not sure about the highlights on the duck's head and wings...

Beautifully photographed. The colour and detail are excellent. Nicely arranged to provide interesting shapes and textures.

Very cute. The white fuzzy blanket finishes this off nicely.

Thank you both very much for the great comments :-) .

He wasn't comfy for long I'm afraid. He was whisked back upstairs to his spot on the side of the bath shortly after this photo was taken :-) .

Well-executed - the duck, too, seems to be smiling in such comfy surroundings.

That's because there aren't any. The rules say that if we take more than one exposure then we have to state it in the Extra info. Unfortunately it can be confused (as I think you have done) with parts of two different photos brought together. This photo was taken with two different exposures on a tripod and they were blended together as the exposure latitude on my small sensor couldn't cope with the brightness range of the scene. people with more modern or larger sensors or using onboard HDR wouldn't need to state this in the Extra Info. It's a bit of a disadvantage to us older small sensor camera users.

Thanks very much for the comments both.

Qixil - Sorry about the slightly distracting title. It was my homage to the Amazon comment I read that persuaded me that I had to buy this duck :-) . It read :-

"TOO. MUCH. CUTE!!!!!!!!, WARNING.
THIS TOY IS DANGEROUSLY CUTE. SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME IN THE BATH WITH IT MAY CAUSE CUTENESS OVERLOAD.

IF YOU DO GET CUTENESS OVERLOAD:
STEP AWAY FROM THE DUCK, I REPEAT, PUT THAT DUCK DOWN AND LEG IT! "

Yes, it was all in caps :-) .

This is an excellent shot - cropping could be better by centering. Well executed - the two exposures combine well to bring out the texture of the blanket. Title is a bit of a distraction - might need toning down. Nice.

It's interesting that so many of us (me included) find yellow ducklings to be so cute and funny. I mean it's not like there is any such thing in nature :-)
