Very nice scene, John. Is there a way you could have brought out the points of light more on the flowers? Just wondering, as it doesn't say sparkle to me.

An unusual choice for the theme, but it works beautifully, especially in B&W. The rays of the sun and the translucent effect they create in the flowers are perfect.

Lovely location. I like the back lit Flowers and the sun rays. The B&W works well here.

A nice scene, love the black and white . I see rays from the sun but not really any sparkle.

Lovely image. Unlike the other similar image of the sun, the flowers act as "lot of small points of light" here. In my TT.

Although I am not voting for this image as we were together when photographing this, this would have ranked high in my favorites. I think your flare / starburst is very effective and fitting for this challenge. I was there so I know this is the slope of the natural environment, but I think some others might perceive this as skew although it isn't. On a more critical note, but just for feedback, I am wondering if a stop or 2 up in exposure especially in the foreground shadows and in the sky might have helped make a "lighter" image, but I can't say for sure. Another small distraction is the rounded flare in the sun starburst, because this is a such a strong focal point the break in the streaks of light is a little distracting. These are small issues... if that... and still a fantastic image.

Very nice photo... foreground nicely back lit... Blown out sun is just a bit distracting.

Nice pastoral scene, dramatically lit, though I don't get a strong sense of sparkle.
