The elements are so perfectly set here, I wonder why you didn't just keep the whole colour. I sense this is good enough without the gimmick.

I like this effect of a colored subject against b&w background and have done it myself several times. This is about the nicest I've seen. Good work.

Very nice capture of a beautiful butterfly, though I'm not so fond of the spot-color technique; the blue, black and gray palette gives a somber tone to the scene and makes the vegetation look zombie-like. I'd rather see a tighter crop on the butterfly in its natural-colored environment.

This type of shot always attracts attention, and it's got mine. In my TT.

I love the colour contrast but would have been inclined to frame it closer. Still in my TT.

I really like your color/B&W treatment. I think it's very effective. This would have been perfect for me if the butterfly was not so centered. Still very high in my TT.

Thanks for the feedback Anthony. Yes i know what your saying. Actually soon as i uploaded i wished id edited a bit tighter to the butterfly. Maybe that would of been better.

Some people will love the selective color desaturation and some people will hate it. I love the colors of the butterfly, the details are also fantastic, but the rest of the scene being B&W bugs me a bit.
