1/1600s, f3.3, ISO 200, 30mm, Landscape, Pattern, no flash
Post-Processing: Convert to black and white (nik sfx), increase clarity, dehalo horizon elements with paint brush set to darken, denoise, image size, save for web.       Extra Info: This is taken at my son's wrecking/repairs business. The crushers are coming in soon, so most of those wrecks will disappear (only to be gradually replaced by another lot).

    Thank you Lo and Mepo.
Mepo I have won one challenge before this one, by 'the big prize' do you mean I get to pick next challenge? How do I do this and when do I need to do it by?

Fantastic shot Jomari. I love the B&W treatment. Could you post the original in the outtakes?

Congrats. Super job - is this your first win for the big prize? Can't wait to see what you pick.

Thanks for the votes and comments everyone. Yes, I do owe a lot to my son and his wrecking yard.
When my son was little he loved to collect matchbox cars, as is common amongst little boys. However he liked to drop rocks on them and create wrecking yards. It was always to be.

Congratulations, I thought this was the clear winner. Your son's wrecking yard owes you a lot!

The sky looks over-processed, but I like all the other aspects of the photo. Good choice for the theme. Actually my #1 pick.

Excellent - lots of detail which could detract but here it balances the very dark frame.

Well done - you've created a lot of texture and interest using just B&W. Excellent exposure and detail.

Great composition, right on theme, definitely a favorite.

Excellent black and white... like all the mid tones with the dark framing. in TF

A perfect frame for the subject matter. Good choice of mono. Every time I see a wreckers yard I remember some advice I got early i my driving career - "Never look at a car as an investment.." LOL - too true! I like this shot a lot.

great frame and result / the mono was the right choice

The B&W adds to the overall image in this case. Makes it more nostalgic. Well done!

Great example of framing. Good composition and dramatic sky.

Fantastic image - love the composition, the sky, the door frame, the foreground objects - the B&W is perfect. In my TT.

Great shot, so dramatic with all the abandoned cars. Great contrast between inside and outside.

Fantastic shot and choice of frame - if you can tell me the sky is real I might even believe there's a god out there somewhere. #1

The bright exterior attracts the eye, while the dark frame of the interior nicely helps define the environment. Like the strong diagonals at right, subtly mirrored by the slanting board et al. on the left. Very nicely done.

    What a mess :)

Good idea to convert to black and white, adds impact, my top pick!
