Extra Info: A large and very thick decanter stopper covered my lens. The clear glass stopper has 12 smoothly beveled faces of equal size. The subject is a single hallway that, when seen through the stopper, is distorted - created the appearance of 3 hallways, truncated lights, etc.

MrS: I did not remove all color. I did desaturate to a limited degree but protected the exit signs from this process. Think the relatively vibrant signs accentuate the color contrast (plus it's an otherwise rather drab hallway to begin with, not to mention the awful 5000K lights above).

In my favs. Looks like you removed all the color except red. Did you?

I have dreams like this but I always seem to choose the wrong hallway :-) Interesting effect and I like the monochrome/single colour presentation.

Your choice of subject is brilliant. Adds an uncomfortable feel, like I'm under some narcotics effect and struggling to walk.

The stopper certainly created an unusual effect. I like the graininess - it seems to pull everything together.

    love this picture.
your choice of effect and subject work really well together. I think the picture grain and tones really adds to the scene, particularly with the well-chosen title that pulls it all together.
please can you put a picture of the decanter stopper in outtakes?!

A great way to make us look at a mundane subject again and discover it is in fact interesting. Quite an achievement.

I love how this has worked - a lovely and engaging touch of the surreal. I like the grain and the subdued palette and all the angles, shapes and lines too. Top 3
