Panasonic DMC-GX7       8th place, 68 points
1/16s, f4, ISO 125, 18mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Levels; increased shadows, reduced highlights, increased contrast; curves; transform - skew; crop; filter - unsharp mask       Extra Info: Shapes and patterns, man-made or natural, are often featured in Elliot’s images. For examples: “coming up on the first turn” – Leading lines; “gotta P” – P is for Panachallenge; “I will stop obsessing with” – Resolutions; “up down inside out” – mini Best of; “street scape” – One second exposure; “angles and shades” – monochrome; and “dry” – mini Best of, which is one of my favorite images. In this image I have tried to capture both patterns and shapes. Elliot, I hope that you find the juxtaposition of stairs and a “wheel” amusing.

I really love the composition and shapes in this image ... it's very pleasing to my mathematical brain!

I love it and I think Elliott would too. I have this image of the wheel trundling down the stairs toward me like a giant cogwheel. NIcely composed and photographed

    great shot leading are excellent
I only have one suggestion the crop should have removed the light at the bottom right as its is eye catching

A good effort, but I'm afraid this doesn't work for me. There's interesting potential in the long radial lines (seats? steps?) in the upper left, but they're overwhelmed by the large partly-reflecting, partly-translucent (condensation?) panels that fill much of the frame. And the wheel seems oddly tilted.

I wonder if there's a vantage point more to the left, showing a rounder view of the wheel with the lines leading toward it, that would make a stronger composition.
