Thanks to all for your comments and votes . Agree a wider shot would have been ideal but . The distractions at the sides would have spoilt the illusion . Thanks again .

I still think a wider shot would have emphasized his solitudeness, but this is still a wonderful portrait of an old fisherman.

I'd suggest having him on the right edge of the photo so that he is looking into the frame. Good catch though, still in my tt.

A nice illustration of theme. The muted neutral tones, the relaxed pose the turned head all give a sense of peaceful solitude. High in my faves.

There is so much character in this face and in the position of the body. It looks like the fisherman has made his catch and is waiting patiently on his own for someone to fetch him home. Great study.

Despite the close crop. I think this shot still captures the theme well.

Like! Some might not as they want to see more face. I do not. Little facial adds to the sense of solitude...

This certainly fits the theme. I would have liked to see more of the pole and pier to give a greater sense of solitude.

Suits to the topic. I would have composed it so, that the man would be more to the right in the picture. Anyway, in my favorites.

I love this as a portrait. Maybe a wider shot would have emphasized the solitude feeling more.
