Old Stone Barn       ©2017 aoc46
Panasonic DMC-LX100       8th place, 113 points
1/639s, f6.3, ISO 200, ?, Aperture Priority, Spot, no flash
Post-Processing: Exposure and contrast adjustments during RAW development. NIK Vintage filter. Conversion to sepia. Cloned out modern skylights. Slight vignette. Crop, resize, sharpen.       Extra Info: Practically everything is made of stone around here. This oddly-shaped barn can be seen in old postcards from the early 1900s.

I applied the sepia "antique photo" look to emphasize the age of the buildings.

What a quaint and charming village. The processing is certainly well suited to the subject. High in my faves.

I like the subject and composition but wonder if sepia was right choice... would have liked to see the differing colours and tones of the rock. The buildings convey the sense of time themselves.

What a great collection of stone buildings, and such variety in their shape and construction. I love the detail and the composition. For me, the sepia washes out the photo. I would have preferred to see the natural colours of the stone and wood; the splashes of colour from the plant baskets.

Striking scenery. Love the feel to it with the sepia toning. The layers of houses create a nice depth.

Nice photo...like the composition in my favorites... would have liked to see it in BW with a bit more contrast.

Love the subject. While I like the sepia treatment to add age to a photograph. Here it seems to have disappointingly flattened the image.

I usually love sepia and B&W but here I would love to see this enchanting town in color especially if it is full of colorful flowers. Still, very nice shot.

I'm not sure what it is, but something about the sepia tone does not agree with me. I hope to have more to say after I review this again before the voting is over.
