1/639s, f2.9, ISO 100, 23mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Crop and straighten, Topaz studio detail filter, Topaz denoise.       Extra Info: This area has been undergoing some change as the sea eats away the rocks. I fear that much of it will disappear some day.

Thanks everyone for comments and votes.

mrsawyer, this was just one exposure. The clouds were wonderful - in all directions - some spectacular formations. It was a much better outing for photos than it would have been if the sun were shining.

The location is Point Roadknight, on Victoria's surf coast.

A striking image. Maybe a little over processed for me, but sharp and interesting. A definite favourite...

Could do with more punch. But I love the way the rocks mimic the skies... or is it the other way around?

There's an almost 3-dimensional feel to this photo. The formation of the rocks is really striking, and the turbulent sky is a wonderful backdrop. Love the composition, angle and detail.

Beautiful abstract sculpture. The clouds greatly enhance the image. Nicely illuminated and sharp focus also contribute to the effectiveness of this image.

peaceful and lovely spot. Might not have cut the edge of the rock off at that point...feels unbalanced a bit as a result

One of my favourites, especially like the way the sky radiates from behind the rock formation.

Like this... cloud background makes the rocks and sand pop, the simple 2 colors work well together.

Great natural rock formation with terrific clouds to match.

This is absolutely stunning, perfect for the theme. The rock formation is very interesting but the sky, which leads the eye to the rock is amazing. Very high on my TT, probably #1.

This Comynesque image is breathtaking. The texture of the rock and the dramatic clouds are amazing. How many exposures were used to create this entry? Looks like an excellent combination of different exposures.
