      Extra Info: These lumps of granite were hewn from rock 6000 years ago and are found around the town of Carnac in Brittany. They are known as the "standing stones" and there are more than 3000 of them. One field alone contains more than a 1000 arranged in 11 lines known as alignments. The significance of these alignments is still unknown but it is thought may have some religious context

    visited the Carnac stones about 30 years ago and still remember the amazement at the scale.

    Your composition and shooting angle are excellent. Nice detail too. Whatever reason there is for their alignment, it would have taken a huge effort to place them.

    Imagine what these stones have witnessed in their 'lifetime'. Interesting in themselves, far more so for their history. Well photographed to display their forms and textures, and I like the diagonal composition. Top 2.
