Terrific shot. I placed you a little higher than you finished. Because the amphibian appears to actually be coated in a film of algae I thought that made him an appropriate subject.

The frog is quite dominant. Perhaps a bit too dominant for the theme. Fav for now.

Nice capture. I like the bunch of green weeds in his flipper.

Chlorophyll from a different aspect, although the focus is on the toad and not the greenery.

I'm really pleased you like it so much :-) . I'm quite proud of him and his chlorophyll world.

Fabulous photograph and outstanding idea for the theme. I love the bright green algae filled water.

I love this shot. There are copious amounts of chloryphyll to satisfy the theme, and you have that handsome toad (frog?) to add interest. High in my TT.

Thank you all for the lovely comments :-) .

didrizzt - Don't be sorry. I expected some people to see the frog as the main subject. I just wanted to show you my photo as I really liked it and hoped others would like it and find it green enough too.

I'm really, really sorry... to be fair to the challenge, I can't vote for your image, because, at least for me, your main subject is the frog, and not those (beautiful!) green plants around it. More precisely, the frog's eyes, absolutely fascinating. Being a botanical challenge, can't honestly vote for a frog...
... and I feel truly sorry :( because I must say, your image is, with difference, the most beautiful image in the whole challenge, and one of the prettiest images that I have seen in the last times. Absolutely wonderful!
I hope you can apologize me, and of course be absolutely proud of your stunning image. Impressive job, all my respect!

Beautiful and interesting picture, but the chlorophyll is not the main object in the picture. Anyway, good work, in my favorites.

Ha ha! Glorious slime! Imagine having to push your way through that gloop all the days of your life. I think the poor fellow is even covered with his own personal layer of ... chlorophyll. In my faves.

Thanks very much all :-) .

SteveBee - He certainly is a real frog and quite a lazy one I'm glad to say. He was in a tank at Toad Hall in Slimbridge WWF where I toot the photos of my birds. I took both Chlorophyll entries there 2 days later.

Taking the shot was nothing special. I just rested the end of the lens against a clear patch of the tanks glass and snapped away when he was still and bracketed my exposures. The original shot is very green so I was delighted when I got it looking more natural.

If that's a real frog, kudos. In any case, it's a very interesting and clever photo and I'd be interested to know more about how you shot it.

The charming amphibian is stealing the show!

Amusing and clever! A small point, but I wish that the frog's uninteresting underbelly didn't take up so much of the picture.
