Post-Processing: Developed from raw in LR and tonal qualities adjusted to taste.       Extra Info: Some people will think that they would have liked the whole turbine blade to be in the frame. But the viewer's mind can fill in the rest so it is not necessary, just like it's necessary to show a whole tree even if that tree might be the main subject. I think it is more impactful up close.

Wind energy is converted to electric energy by 104 giant turbines on this wind farm. The scale of these machines is gigantic. Each blade is 55.5 meters long. With a blade pointing straight up the total height of the machine is 150 meters. I wish I could have found a way to show the scale better. The turbines are spread out over an area of 89 sq kilometers.

Would have liked to see all three full blades of the windmill in the foreground.

I think your choice of composition was correct. It does show how huge these turbines are.

I agree with your approach to cut off the blade - you have projected what I think is the most significant aspect of these modern windmills - their sheer size. The only way to underline that further would be to have something in the photo as a comparison and I expect this wasn't possible. The sky is a beautiful backdrop.

I love the way you have composed this. I think that the fact that the foremost turbine is cut off adds to the sense of scale. I think this one is my favourite in here. Oh, and the sky is just beautiful.

Very nicely composed and shot. I agree with your rationale for cutting off the blades. Small point: you might consider telephoto compression to bring the more distant turbines closer in size to the main one.

Interesting composition. First instinct would be to catch the entire windmill in the foreground, but I agree with your Extra Info that is not necessary. This has more drama.
