Dec 26, 2018		     Congratulations, John. This was my top pick. I love this image, perhaps partly because ice is exotic to me and the mix with the sunset is magical.
I did really like your other entry too but although I placed it quite high, I didn't put it at the top.
I appreciate your feelings about the relative placement of your entries, because I feel exactly the same way about mine.

Dec 25, 2018		     I'm puzzled too. I had your other shot as my #2 - loved it. Beautifully photographed, super definition, plus some humour to boot. I sometimes wonder if voters look for a way to exclude images. I've learnt that my interpretation of a challenge is not necessarily the same as others and I try to respect that.

Maybe it was my interpretation of the challenge, maybe people expected the elements to be outdoors. Maybe someone could set me straight t:-).
