Geese at the park pond
Editing in Photos 3.0 (adjusting shadows, curves etc.) and then turn to black and white and further editing in Gimp / Silver Efex Pro 2
I spotted these geese at the local park pond, on my way home after visiting one of the nursing homes where I volunteer. They had just started to line up at the edge of the pond and I slowly approached them to get the best possible shot.

Thanks for your comments and votes. I tend to reserve this category for pictures I took with another camera than my main one. A smartphone photo in this case, which was mainly worthwhile for bringing back a rather fun, summery moment.

I like this gaggle of geese. I would have been tempted to eliminate the two geese on the left and crop closer to the group on the right.

Looks like they're the audience.

At the same time funny and picturesque.

Image has some potential, but IMO the power of the line of geese is diluted by leaving too much of the lower grassy foreground in the shot. See what you think by cropping out most of the grass up to the line of geese - making it more of a panorama image.

I'm not sure why but these geese make me smile. Maybe it's the way they all have their heads turned, probably looking at you approaching.
