Apr 7, 2019		     Not just a trendy trend. Apparently insects are going to play an increasing role in meeting the nutritional needs of the ever growing populations of our planet. I'm glad I don't need to take this up (yet) as it still seems exceedingly strange to me.

Apr 6, 2019		     This is so gross - which makes it a terrific choice for the theme. I understand the necessity to eat these things for survival, but I wouldn't be trying them out of curiosity.

Apr 5, 2019		     I consider myself a very adventurous eater, trying just about anything. But, insects are one thing I haven't been able to bring myself to trying. Seeing this gives me the shivers. Good subject for the theme.

Apr 5, 2019		     Nice still life. Certainly meets the theme requirements; however, it would have been nice to see some human consumption. Maybe that is too much to ask for. In my favs.

I think the idea of showing the sandwich is great!

I think the right-hand bowl does not add much to the picture - the insects are too much of a mass to see them clearly. It also stops you getting closer in to the sandwich. (and the perspective looks oddly different to the plate - or is that just me?)

Being closer in to the sandwich would allow us to see some of the detail of the bugs - maybe arranging them more clearly? Although the green striped tablecloth is nice, we do see a lot of it in this picture.

Your use of flash gives a very bright finish to the tomatoes and the plate. Maybe cutting the tomatoes in half and showing the cut side would have helped reduce the reflectiveness/ add texture?

Apr 4, 2019		     The photo is sharp and clear although I'm not a fan of flash. What would be really interesting would be a photo of someone taking a photo of their food in a restaurant.
