    Congrats, how fun is this?!

Well done Neil. I can almost feel them squirming around.

Congrats! Until reading some of the comments, I thought this was a trough of dead fish (as I thought I saw ice in the water). Interesting find.

Well, that does seem strange. What a lot of fish! I hope each one got its tickle. In my faves.

Old Finn - I wondered if some people would think they were doing that. These ones were just plain hungry for their food held in the closed hand!

I understand that fishes are used to clean peoples skin. Nice picture. My first choice.

I've heard that tickling a fish's tummy puts it into a sort of trance, and they are much easier to catch. Not something I'm apt to try. The detail is great, considering all that movement.

This was taken at the Lyme Regis aquarium where you can hand feed Grey Mullet that have been caught locally. The Mullet are trained by the aquarium staff to hand feed as they are apparently naturally very shy. While they are eating the food out of our hands it's fun to stroke their smooth tummies. Quite a strange sensation for the fish and us I think.

We got there at a quiet time and they seemed very hungry!

I really hope you explain what this place is. They all seem to be the same kind of carp. Is this some sort of a fish farm? Very odd, indeed.

This is how we used to catch fish when I was a young boy. We'd lay for hours on the side of the stream with our hands underwater - until they got too cold and then we'd warm them up and repeat the process. When a fish came by we'd try to tickle their tummy and then flip them up onto the bank. We never saw this many fish though.

I like the way you positioned the hand at the head of a rush of fish. Great texture and motion.

Whatever is going on there is definitely strange.

I really like the sharpness, contrast and clarity of this.
Bit confused about the scene though - what is going on - feeding time?

I have never heard of this behavior. It does seem strange and thus fits with the theme.
