Coming and Going at the Hubbard Street Curve       ©2019 RobertLavker
Panasonic DMC-GX8       5th place, 83 points
1/3s, f8, ISO 100, 32mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: RAW files converted with Adobe RAW. Decreased shadows; decreased highlights, increased contrast; curves; filter-unsharp mask; crop. Used same settings for 2 images that only differed in the direction of the trains. Loaded the 2 files into a stack, aligned layers and merged to HDR Pro.       Extra Info: Two images that only differed in the direction of the trains were loaded into a stack, aligned and merged to HDR Pro.

Congrats for capturing 5th place in a tough field. I thought it a bit busy for my taste, but the group has spoken!!!

I think I'd like it better with only one train.

nice long exposure, the curves are obvious in the train and building... I'm curious as to what this would look like at dusk or night. in my favorites.

Great job merging the two photos. The detail is excellent. A creative and interesting way to convey the theme.

Great idea to use slow shutter to emphasise the curve.

Interesting effect! I bet this would look great at night. The messy part to the right center is a bit distracting but I don't know what you could have done.

Ample curves, though the scene is a bit busy. Like the feeling of energy, though.
