Thank you all so much for your votes and comments. This was taken on Stradbroke Island, Queensland, Australia during a family holiday. As soon as I saw the branch on the beach I thought it would make a great foreground. Luckily we got a nice sunset to go with it. Thanks again.

The composition is really lovely. Despite the horizontal aspect of the driftwood, the shadows draw me into the photo to that lovely sunset.

I tried to imagine this shot without the branch. It becomes nice but not exceptional. With the branch and your treatment of it, plus the lighting, it turns into a fine composition. I like it very much.

Nice composition - good exposure on the sunset.

Beautiful image, lovely light. The soft, blue shadows add a lot of interest and contrast with the warm sunset and sand.

Great framing with the sun between branches. I love the pastel colors also

I like the composition. While sunsets are often very attractive, the sheer number you see tends to make them a bit boring (to me). Here though, the branch and its shadows in the foreground, add an interesting extra element. Well done.

I am not a great fan of sunset images; however, this one is marvelous. I love the way you have captured the shadows of the driftwood as well as the texture of the wood itself. Great job.

Oh my, this is beautiful! The beach and the setting sun are gorgeous but the fallen branch and especially the shadows it is casting is amazing. Foot prints are an added bonus too. Well done.

Well done. I love the shadows!

Please take a look at the three opinion polls in the Forums under 'Site Talk'. They are only open for another three days. Even a vote for 'No Opinion' or 'None of the above' would be helpful. Thanks.

My apologies if you already received this invitation in the Main challenge. I'm simply trying to get everyone's opinion registered before the polls close in three days.
