      Extra Info: As I'm not allowed to go out to take photos at the moment, I took advantage of these daffodils growing in my works car park. They lighten my spirits twice a day as I hope they lighten yours too.

I wander’d lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed — and gazed — but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

    Haha - you are right. I saw the quality of the photo and then noticed the phrase 'works car park'. That combined with the knowledge that you are still working led me to my guess. Loreen also noticed the phrase and guessed it was you as well.

So I wanted to share with you my appreciation of the beauty of Wales. Daffodils in particular bring back wonderful memories of my time there. The visit I made to Caerphilly was so important to me because my mother was dying of cancer. She knew how I was affected and arranged this visit for me. I was staying with distant relatives whom I had never met but the welcome I got from them and everyone else I met in Caerphilly was overwhelming. Every Sunday we would walk 'up the mountain (read hill)' as did most of the town. Even though it was beautiful, I did wonder why we did it. An older gentleman overheard me asking and said "Because it's there boyo". LOL I've retained an affinity with the Welsh for their kindness at an important juncture in my life.

I should also mentioned that I had to change trains in Cardiff when I arrived. I missed the connection because I could not understand the lovely thick Welsh accent on the PA system. A friendly station worker noticed that I was lost and took me to the canteen and bought me a cuppa while he re-arranged my tickets for me. And the lady running the canteen brought me over a sandwich and would not accept any money from me. What a wonderful way to start a holiday.

    Thank you all for your kind comments and votes :-) .

Mepo - You mentioning Caerphilly makes me wonder if you suspected it was my photo? It does sound like it was a fun job, especially around Easter time ;-) .

    Thank you for the lovely poem. These really are a superb example of those beautiful spring flowers. You have really captured them perfectly, with lovely detail and colour.

    Yes, definitely good to see. I'm appreciating nature even more than usual these days. We're not as much into spring as you are but I'm looking forward to the daffodils and tulips. This shot reminds me of a wonderful time I spent on a small holding in Caerphilly one year. My job was to collect the eggs from among the flowers and bushes.

    The daffodils are strikingly colorful, fresh, and perfect. The one thing that brings the image down for me is the strange sky colors and the clutter of branches and sign in the background.

    Quite a nice collection, good composition, background has a few issues but not too distracting. Top 10

    The daffodils look like they're standing guard. Might prefer them shot from a little bit higher (if possible within our 12'' height limit) or a bit farther back, so the flowers are completely in front of the green.
