Extra Info:
Found this 1000 piece puzzle, unopened, at the back of a cupboard whilst clearing out during lockdown. Proved quite difficult and kept us occupied since many pieces appeared to be a good fit in several positions as well as their correct one, hence the magnifying glass to check the fine detail! You can see that many pieces are exactly the same shape.Pieces are coated with phosphorescent ink so that after exposure to light the stars and galaxies light up in the dark.

Thank you for your votes and comments, I was quite surprised to gain 5th place, and yes if you are wondering it certainly is the hardest puzzle I have every done. I bought it about 20 years ago after seeing it in a friends house but never got round to it until lockdown. For anyone interested if you Google "Celestial Planisphere" I think you will find it is still available. Good puzzling!

OMG - This looks really challenging. I have done a few large puzzles, but I don't think they came close to this one for difficulty. It will be beautiful when it is done, and it looks like you are nearly there. Nicely composed and taken - the detail and colour are great.

I have this vision where you get it finished and take it out to look at the stars. Then someone holds it upside-down overhead to match the sky, and it all falls apart.
