    Thanks for all your comments.

JadeO - I thought cropping out the top part would, while bringing out the cat, detract from the Dutch Angle aspect of the shot. But now that I look at it more, a square crop just below the oblong frame at the end of the hallway may work.

Surprised this wasn't higher. This guy's a star! I think cropping off the top would have helped a lot.

It was a good idea to put the cat in the frame. A furball animal form surrounded by man-made straight lines.

A lovely portrait of your cat. The tilt adds a bit of interest to the background.

He/she looks well miffed! Sort of "how long is this going to take?" I like your composition and the DOF you've employed seems just right for the shot

Glaring as only a cat can. How dare you tilt my world? Nice entry. Top few.

For me, this picture works so well because of the contrast between the foreground cat (soft, fluffy, in focus, appears to be on the horizontal, emotional expression) and the background hallway (hard, shiny, blurred, tilted, expressionless).

Instead of the eyes on the lower third I would have put them in the upper third of the frame. The cat is the subject, the angle enhances the shot to get the eyes on level, and the rest of the background is more of a distraction to me so I would crop this one horizontally just above the hair on the highest ear and again as close as I dare in front of the nose (probably in a vertical line at the left corner of the door on the right wall.
