Congratulations on 1st place - This is one of those shots that really grows on you the more you look at it.

Congratulations. This shot managed to be interesting and original without looking contrived. I actually had you #1 in both Open and Main.

Thanks everyone for the comments and votes. Glad you liked it. A chance photo as I realised that the cafe I was in was overlooked by a public walkway and this was the only set that had any story.

Congratulations on the win. This was my #1.

Knew this one might end up on top. Nicely done! (And two top 10s!)

The story is an old crime scene. The chalk outline of the body has washed away but the blood stains remain. Blood of course, slowly turns to grey over time on certain materials. In my tt even without the body :-)

Ha! A crime scene photo! Fantastic eye to spot this. Nice treatment too.

At first sight just 3 chairs and a table. Who would have thought you could get a great sense of drama! Very good photo.

Nice shot - like the composition and arrangement of the furniture. The floor stain is a problem, but it could work with a well-placed over-turned glass on the table.

[I wrote this before seeing your Extra Info. I didn't get a sense that anyone left suddenly, but the glass should still work.]

The composition certainly makes for interesting speculation as to why the chairs are positioned s they are. I like the detail and the monochrome treatment.

JadeO - I guess I didn't have much confidence in the strength of the picture! It wasn't going to be my entry, but it slowly grew on me. I was worried viewers might pass over it without asking those or any other questions...

I don't need the info. I think in some cases it is best to leave the questions unasked and in the viewers' minds. Quite a nice capture and composition. I might have tried a more absolutely square framing to heighten the impact.

I particularly like the overhead viewpoint and the casual arrangement of the chairs. This works well in sepia and the diffused light is nice.

Straight out nice composition. I like the checker pattern for visual interest.

Very attractive and creative furniture shot that doesn't look contrived, or rely on other elements for it's appeal.
