Yes, Bernie I was assuming that one of Quine's shots was supposed to be in the Open category and I don't know if Olympus referred to camera body or lens...I had assumed the former. Whatever, I had a chuckle when I saw he captured two of the top ten places...a rare double in one category! But I don't think there is an easy fix that would be fair to everyone assuming it is an admin error so I was suggesting just let it be since it's been such a wonky year all over! |

Welcome to Panachallenge! Congrats Quine on your win in a competitive field! (Not sure what Jade O was referring to about not using a Panasonic camera. Maybe he thought your Olympus lens was a camera???)
Anyway, hope to see more entries from you in the regular challenges! Hope you enjoyed participating. |

Congrats on three firsts. First place in Main. First ever winner in Main that didn't use a Panasonic camera. And first person to have two top ten finishes in the same challenge category. Uhmmm....I think the Admins goofed a little. Anyway, my vote is we all say this is a perfect end for the year that was 2020! (Now I hope I got all that right!) Congrats on a fine shot wherever it was supposed to be. |

Great macro shot. The angle of view is really interesting, and the blurred background really places all of the attention on the bee. The detail is fantastic. |

The detail is stunning. I hope you give us the exif which is showing as ? ? ? but this is a lovely shot. What to critique? Maybe the sharp edge on the green bokeh below the antenna which I would have blurred to smooth, and of course, the petals which would have required a second shot to get in focus. The eyes and the proboscis really make this a standout. The lighting overall is excellent. I'd love to know if you selectively adjusted it to darken the background because I just can't tell. |

Nice capture. Darkening the flower some could help the bee stand out more. Consider a tighter crop - some from the top, more from the right.
