Two completely different photos of the same subject, and both beautifully done. Congratulations on your two top 5's. |

Such a powerful image and worthy of top 5. I actually like it more than your other entry and I liked the other entry quite a bit. I do think they'd pop more with a little sharpening but otherwise they are both just lovely. |

I really like the subject, which is perfect for the theme. For me, there is too much dark sky. I'm sure others will disagree, but I would take about 1/8th off the top. |

Great viewpoint, dramatic light, good use of negative space. Edited on Feb 15, 2021

Very nice use of negative space, maybe a little more detail in the lower portion. |

Beautiful scene. I like the portrait orientation making the most of that dramatic sky. |

Well composed with interesting light. One could imagine that you are starting to write a book . . . It was a dark and stormy . . . :-) |

I like the dark tones, announcing a storm or bad weather. Nice lighting on the lighthouse |

Lovely view and very moody. For my preference just a bit too much sky and too dark. |

The subject lighting and placement nicely contrasts with the menacing clouds. |

Same lighthouse different angle and also quite nice. This is a good demonstration of how and when to shoot in b&w. It really is a lovely subject. Again I'd sharpen it some to make it perfect. |

Very stormy and dramatic. Great sky. Maybe cropping out the right hand quarter would create even more drama making it appear as if the light house and cottage were isolated. |

Dramatic image with fantastic composition. It feels like the lighthouse could be just a tad lighter. But regardless, great shot. |

This composition is perfect for the next challenge. The negative space really focuses the attention on the lighthouse. The sky is a bit dark. I'd bring up the shadows some. |
