Post-Processing: Exposure, tone and lens corrections done with LR.       Extra Info: A backhoe was used to dig three trenches that were filled with concrete and steel bars. After the concrete curves cured for a month, a crane lifted the rings from the ground. "Gyre" refers to a circular or spiraling motion—gyration—and a spiraling shape, like a vortex or tornado.

Thanks to all for your votes! Robert, the lens was a Rokinon 7.5mm fisheye. I made lens and distortion corrections in LR to effectively defish the image.

Love the perspective. There's a sense of power here.

    I second ysal.

You should have taken this photo standing far from the first gyre using zoom.

my top pick

Good colours , composition and framing, , so a good job over all.

Very nice find for the challenge! My only problem is that the first ring looks much closer than the other 2, I wish all 3 rings looked the same distance apart.

Excellent! Love the texture the angle of the light gives it.

Almost like science fiction, that's what's great about photography finding real places and composing them so they are unique. Making them look like they are from a different world, my top pick!

Interesting threesome very nicely captured. I like the lighting and the shooting angle especially. The sky and clouds are perfect. Well done.

Right on theme - perfectly composed and exposed. What lens was used to get this image? I suspect a fairly wide ~7-10mm.
