Congrats, this was in my top 3! Such a cozy looking house, captured perfectly through your icy window! |

Congratulations - this is such a warm shot, despite the freezing rain. |

Thanks for all the great comments. I wish I'd got them before I entered the photo :-) Can't believe I missed the slight tilt and the reflections from the lights on our tree! Thanks for pointing them out. They will be fixed and the bit of frame removed. RolandB: You got that exactly right. OldFinn. Taken from our second story living room. The house is home to a young family of four and is a 'happy house' with good neighbours. |

"Freezing rain is really bad for driving but produces some beautiful scenes' You're right! Think I would have cloned out the red, brownish and blue specs projecting from or in front of the tree on right. |

The freezing rain creates a great foreground effect. |

Great window view with great exposure for the scene, nice focus on the window droplets as well as the distant scenery. Nice touch in the inclusion of the window frame to suit the challenge perfectly but I'm unsure if the bright blue 'light' adds to the overall effect. High favourite for this challenge. |

Beautiful picture. Well composed and beautiful colors. Was it taken through the car window? |

Picturest image and the frozen rain adds the harshness of winter |

This borders on "magical." For myself, I probably would have cropped out the window frame showing in the bottom left, as the water on the window is "proof" that it was taken through glass. But nothing wrong with playing it "safe." |

I like this! I would normally want the subject to be off centre, but this one works. Cute little house with enough detail through the rain. I would have cloned out the blue dots (lights?) on right edge though, I find it distracting. |

The freezing rain on the window is captured beautifully. There is a surprising amount of colour for such a wintry scene. |

I think you could crop that small sliver of frame out, quite obvious this is a window. Freezing rain eh, must be some place in Ottawa. I like the texture the freezing rain has given. |

Nice effect. A little intrusion in the lower left distracts just a tad. |

I knew we would get some lovely Christmas card photos while we were baking in the sun down here. This is lovely and well caught. |

Very evocative, fits the theme well. (Trim off the window frame, brighten the color a little, and you'll have next year's Xmas card!) |

Nicely captured! Great composition, but I think it would have been better to either crop or clone out the window sill in the left corner. |

Your result works well to theme. the window bit bottom left is a distraction and not needed as your rain drops do the job. the house is very choccy box in this winter scene |

What a lovely image! Beautiful texture on the glass, giving enough view of the cute house outside. The blue light thing on the right edge is a bit distracting, but still a very nice shot, one of my top favorites. |

I love the effect. Right on theme. My only slight concern is that I would have cropped out the window frame in the lower left hand portion of the image. |

The overall impression of icy freezing rain is well portrayed with the interesting patterns on the glass and snowy tree and house. I would suggest slightly straightening as the house appears to be leaning and cropping out the small bit of the window frame at lower left. |
