30s, f7.1, ISO 125, 28mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Photoshop CS5; levels, shadows and highlights; transformation - skew; unsharp mask       Extra Info: The lobby of the condominiums in the John Hancock Building is on the 44th floor, which has panoramic windows providing ~360 degree view of Chicago. This is a South-facing view of the city, known as the "Home of the Skyscraper", taken in the evening "blue hour". In the distance are the Trump and Willis (Sears) towers, two of the world's tallest buildings.

Amazing looking landscape but something seems to have gone wrong with the PP work along the line. Too much mid-tone and sharpening maybe? GL.

Wow, that is quite a view! Do you live here?

No doubt that you would have been photographing from a window at this level, great exposure and lighting. Appreciate the provision of 'extra info', great entry and in my favourites.

That's a lot of steel and concrete. The colours are stunning, and of course, the skyline is just magnificent.

Looks like some pictures Robert has taken. Well composed! Colour seems a little too pushed, and not liking the halos around the buildings.

It is a unique view but the orange tint bothers me quite a bit. Also maybe best to use a tripod, higher ISO and longer exposure? The scene looks like it needs some sharpness and contrast.

Interesting imagery that holds my attention. I feel there is a particular softness to the details. Don't know if it's because the image is slightly out of focus, or the lens just isn't sharp enough. I also think perhaps the details and colors might have been better represented by decreasing the shutter speed to allow more depth of color and contrasts.

although there is no obvious "window" it is not needed as the "view" would be difficult unless a drone or window crane

Excellent composition, exposure and color, but other than the high viewpoint, lacks any sense of looking out a window - might have been shot from a balcony or observation deck.

You effectively revealed your identity in the Extra Info -- not that I wouldn't have guessed from subject and style. Love blue hour photos of the city and this is a good composition. I appreciate your making the buildings straight and parallel with frame.
