It was my #2 pick. Please do not remove the wires, they ground the image and add an interesting graphic element to counteract the chimney verticality.

thanks for all the comments - interesting that the wires were equally loathed/liked...!

i'll get a version without wires posted on outtakes in a day or two and we can decide then...!

Not sure if I like the wires across this shot or not. Did you try it without them? Might make a good outtake as a comparison. Love the disappearing smokestack!

I like the composition and the fact the tower is partially covered in clouds/steam. It could be a very compelling image. However, I find the power lines to be a distraction.

I also think, because there is so much grey in the picture...the tower and building need more color, or something dramatic, in order to give the photo more impact.

I like the interest in this shot with the chimney, wires, steam and buildings. A fave.

Nice composition. Usually I'm not a fan of wiring, but it works here to add depth.

Mystery and intrigue and wires running through the middle of all of it. The subject is great and the lighting and scene set; too bad if there was no other way to get this shot.

Very nice! To me, all the wires add a feeling of intense horizontal movement that contrasts interestingly with the rising, wafting steam.

The wires seem to dominate the scene; could you have got the shot from a different angle?

I'm afraid all the wires spoil this for me.
