I like the lighting/shadows on what I assume is steam. I would have removed the whitish streak in the sky. By the way, there is much noise in the lower part of the sky. What caused this at only ISO 250?

It doesn't really say "industrial landscape" to me, I think showing more of where the smoke/steam is coming from would improve the picture.

The steam is good but the building is missing. I think you need the buildings to complete the scene. The sky adds nothing

the aircraft and trail is so small and distracting should have cropped below that line

There is a lot of potential here - great detail and lighting, but I would have liked to see more building and less sky

Great light coming through the steam but I would like to have seen a bit more of the building/s.

All the elements of a great photo are present but it just misses for me. Maybe the contrails need to be more pronounced and the subject more off centre.

I like the chem trails (geo-engineering) in the sky!

    Theme - 5
Technical - 4 Nice contrast and tone
Composition - 3 A puzzling crop choice; not well suited to square format
Originality - 4
Overall Impression - 3

aoc46, congrats! Yes, contrail. so far, you're the only one that has picked that up. So it's not quite empty space...

Dramatic shot - though I was uncertain initially, I like the way the dark, nearly-empty sky forces your attention to the the steam cloud. Is that a contrail or a meteor in the upper left?

I like the concept and the B&W treatment, but too much sky and not enough industrial landscape.

Hi, IMO would have liked to seen more of what is creating the smoke/steam or more of a close up of the steam itself. I feel your pic has a bit to much empty space. GL in the challenge.

I would like to have seen more of the buildings to balance the large expanse of sky

I like the highlights and lowlights in the steam. I would've liked to see a bit more of the building below.
