Congrads on your double win John, you are making a habit of winning.
Nice job, looking forward to your next challenge idea.

Mrsawyer - No vignette added, the sun was shining through the clouds once in awhile. There was thundershowers moving in. The B&W conversion accentuated the darker areas in the sky and foreground, will post colour version in outtakes.

Well-presented! Did you add a vignette here? In my favs.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!
Neat, aKilter - I used vey mild sharpening on this, don't see the halo's you mention. First use of a new lens given to me, 17-50 sigma and must admit it is quite sharp.

Nice contrasts, good sharpness, well composed. In my TT.

Great use of B&W to bring out the detail. I find my attention drawn more to the tree and the clouds than to the building, but you're still high in my faves.

did the tree lean first or was it the building.

Great building and setting for the challenge. The dramatic sky and B&W processing are also very effective, although you might have overdone, at least a little bit, the white halo effect from the USM processing. You didn't overdo it enough to lose my first place vote, however.

Love your subject for this challenge.
Looks like it has been captured perfectly.
I do not like the dark circle around the image, it grabs my attention to much.

Fantastic shot, love how it's leaning, trees are bit over sharpened though, my 3rd pick.

Great subject and composition, but the clouds are a bit over-dramatic for my liking - unless they were real !

What a great find for the theme, I particularly like the way that the bark on the trees has been twisted by years of exposure to the winds. IMO, maybe a little less vignetting, or more lightening to remove the over-dark areas. In my TT

Love it. Reminds me of "The Wizard Of Oz"... In my top 3.

Awesome shot and pp, I really like it. I have a question, did you tilt the pic it at all? The trees seem to be out of plumb, just like the structure. Was the lean caused by the buffering from the winds?
Where I live, we also have the prevailing Westerly winds, and after a storm front comes through, it blows extra strong.

Beautifully done. Right on theme. The trees look very "Comyn-like". This is meant to be a compliment. High in my favs.

This is a fine composition and beautifully executed 'print'. My top favorite.

Nice entry. I like how the lean of the building flows with that of the tree. Perhaps a little dark in the top left corner.

What a great finding! I love the parallelism with the trees.

My favourite for the challenge. Love the sky and the eeriness of B&W. Well done.
