Thanks for all the comments. Jade - I prefer your numbers :-)
Bernie - too right.
Robert: You have obviously not heard about the abdominal mismanagement of our hydro system. For example, at this time any power we sell to the USA is subsidized by the taxpayers in Ontario and costs are only going higher. I may be applying for refugee status soon LOL

With such a high finish how about paying my electric bill next month? Great shot congrats Michael.

Very nicely composed and interesting colours. One of the best I think.

Very nice comp, and really like the colours. I have tried shooting "Hydro" towers myself and know how difficult they can be to make stand out.

Thanks for all the comments. I have to admit I had this in my reject pile but couldn't make any of my other choices work. This one also gave me trouble until I hit on dynamic balance which I rarely use and it brought out the sky to how I remembered it just before the rain hit.

Robert and Kerskavet: believe me I tried every different orientation and crop. The wide format lets you include a lot of ground which supports the pylons better and you do need some pylon material in the foreground to provide depth to the photo and to demonstrate the strength of the structure which quickly become spindly as they recede. That was my reasoning but I will try a different approach next time. Shooting pylons is a bit of a hobby :-)

Very nice clouds add interest to this oddly delicate scene.

Great illustration of the theme with a wonderfully moody atmosphere

I like the tones, contrasting textures and overall effect.

just wondered - had you considered a portrait crop, taking out the two closest pylons?

Somehow the colour and lighting draw me in to the point this is my number 2.

Great idea! I wonder if a vertical format would have been even more dramatic?

out-of-focus. I agree about the pp info. Usually I enter all the details but this was a last minute entry and I honestly could not remember which way I made the adjustments.

Apparently yes. You have crops for food grains, you have good chances of rain, unlimited power supply. Safe greeny place.

A dramatic photo adds flavor to the original theme. - out of focus.

IMHO the post processing should be more straight words, like "changed hue, increased warm tone etc' instead of 'played with'. - Admin

A dramatic photo. I really like the horizontal lines in the clouds.
